How does renting with Schep Vastgoedmanagers work?

keyboard_arrow_down

Check out our page: Rental process. On this page, we explain step by step how you can go from searching for a rental property to ultimately becoming a tenant.

How can I respond to the properties that are being offered?

keyboard_arrow_down

Under each property, you will find a form that you can use to respond to the property. After you have completed this form, you will receive instructions for creating a personal account in MyProperty. From this account, you will be guided step by step through the process of actually being allocated the property.

Where can I find properties that are available for rent?

keyboard_arrow_down

The complete range of properties offered by Schep Vastgoedmanagers can be found on this website under the heading "Offer."

Can I respond to all properties that are offered?

keyboard_arrow_down

You can respond to all properties, unless an age limit is specified. We apply an income standard of 3 to 4.5 times the rent.

Therefore, first calculate your maximum rent. This will enable you to determine which properties you are eligible for.

How often are rental properties advertised?

keyboard_arrow_down

Our range of available rental properties changes every day. You can find the most up-to-date listings on the "Listings" page.

Would you like to receive a notification when a new rental property becomes available? Then register as a home seeker.

How soon do I need to respond to a property listing?

keyboard_arrow_down

You have an average of 48 hours to respond to an offer on a house. You will receive instructions for your application by email. Make sure you let us know in time whether you want to accept the property.

I have been offered a property. Can I view it?

keyboard_arrow_down

Have you been offered a property? Then you can view it first. The offer email contains the contact details of the previous tenant or heirs, or you can contact Schep Vastgoedmanagers to arrange a viewing. Have you not been offered a property? Then viewing is not possible.

I have been offered a property and would like to rent it. How do I let you know?

keyboard_arrow_down

You can arrange this from your personal MyProperty account.

Based on your personal registration, we will guide you step by step through the next steps until you actually rent your new rental home.

I would like to swap homes with someone. Is that possible?

keyboard_arrow_down

This is not common for a home and may only be possible within the same building.

It is often possible to swap parking spaces. To do so, please contact us via our tenant portal and use the "contact form.".

Please note that new rental contracts are concluded for a minimum period of 1 year.

What are the conditions for home exchange?

keyboard_arrow_down

This is not common for a home and may only be possible within the same building.

It is often possible to swap parking spaces. To do so, please contact us via our tenant portal and use the "contact form.".

Please note that new rental contracts are concluded for a minimum period of 1 year.

How long do I have to continue renting the property after the home exchange?

keyboard_arrow_down

You will need to sign a new lease agreement. This means that you will again be committing to a minimum rental period of one year.

What happens to the rent for the property when exchanging homes?

keyboard_arrow_down

The rent for the property will be adjusted as it would be for a "normal rental." This means that the rent may increase, but it may also decrease.

I am interested in a property you are offering. How can I let you know?

What is a landlord's statement?

keyboard_arrow_down

A landlord's statement is a written message from your current/previous landlord. Among other things, it states whether you have always paid your rent on time and whether you have behaved as a good tenant.

What is MyProperty?

keyboard_arrow_down

MyProperty is the system you use to create your personal account. Think of it as your personal housing file.

Through this personal MyProperty account, you can:

  • Create a search profile and be the first to know when a new property from our selection meets your requirements.

  • respond to properties in our listings and thereby register as a candidate for the property.

  • share all your details with us so that we can assign you to a new rental property.

What is Datakeeper?

keyboard_arrow_down

Datakeeper is an app that securely collects, manages, and shares personal data from various sources such as the government, banks, and the UWV.

When you respond to a rental property from our selection and apply, we ask you (via MyProperty) to share your details via Datakeeper. This is because it is a legal requirement that you submit documents proving that you meet certain criteria.

Without this information, we cannot assign the rental property to you.

Do I need to share my Datakeeper when I create a search profile in MyProperty?

keyboard_arrow_down

No, in accordance with the Privacy Act (GDPR), we are not permitted to request a Data Keeper when creating a search profile.

Data keeper when responding to housing

We will only request data from the data keeper once you have actually responded.

Do I have to share my Datakeeper if I am interested in a property?

keyboard_arrow_down

If you are genuinely interested in a property, we ask you to share your details via Datakeeper. Datakeeper ensures that we can find a suitable candidate for the property more quickly and therefore hand over the keys to you sooner.

I am not specifically interested in a property, but I would like to share my Datakeeper. Is that possible?

keyboard_arrow_down

No, unfortunately that is not possible. In accordance with the Privacy Act (AVG), we are only allowed to request Datakeeper if there is interest (and therefore a response) in a rental property.

Datakeeper cannot retrieve my data. Can I still respond to a property listing?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes, you can. If Datakeeper is unable to retrieve your data (in full), you can manually add documents to your MyProperty account .

This allows you to provide us with your income/financial situation without using Datakeeper.

The documents you can submit depend on your financial situation.

How can my partner share their Datakeeper with Schep?

keyboard_arrow_down

Via MyProperty , you can easily indicate that you have a partner by entering his or her email address.

Your partner will then receive an invitation link that they can use to create a MyProperty account. Your partner can also share all data via Datakeeper from their own account.
