Personal data is any data that provides information about natural persons. We use this data for the following purposes:
to assist you in finding a rental property, for example;
in order to implement a (rental) agreement or;
because you are a member of a Homeowners' Association that we manage;
If you are the contact person for a company with which we have a relationship
The amount of personal data depends on the purpose of the processing. For example, we will need more personal data if we have to assess whether you can rent a property than if you are a member of a Homeowners' Association.
EDR
Before we enter into an agreement with you, we want to assess any payment risks. This allows us to determine whether we will enter into an agreement with you and what terms and conditions we will apply. To this end, we will also provide your data to Economic Data Resources B.V. (EDR). Economic Data Resources B.V. (EDR) checks personal data and provides credit information reports with risk profiles. This also explains how you can exercise your rights, such as the right to access, object, correct, and delete your data.
If you are or wish to become a customer of ours, we will primarily use your personal data to stay in contact with you. In the context of a concluded or to-be-concluded agreement, we may also pass on your name to others. If you are or wish to become a tenant, we will pass on your data to our client, the landlord. We may also pass on your name to a contractor, plumber, or other service provider if they need to contact you for maintenance work. Sometimes it is necessary to pass on your details to a debt collection agency or bailiff in order to collect outstanding payments. We may also be required by law to provide your details to a government agency such as the tax authorities or the municipality.
We do not process more data than is necessary for the purpose (renting a home, being a member of a homeowners' association, etc.). In principle, we do not process any special personal data. This includes data about your health, race, sexual orientation, or criminal history. If you yourself ask us to record this data, we will only do so with your express consent and if it is necessary for our services.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we must have a basis for processing your data. In almost all cases, we process your data in order to execute an (intended) agreement. In other cases, we only process your data if you have given your consent.
We do not publish your personal data. We may use cookies on our site. If so, a message will be displayed explaining why we use cookies. Your continued use of our service will be interpreted as consent to this use of cookies. You are free to disable cookies through your browser. Please note that this may prevent our website from functioning optimally. We have made agreements with third parties that place cookies about the use of cookies and applications. We use Google Analytics to track how visitors use our service. We have entered into a processing agreement with Google to make arrangements about the handling of our data. Furthermore, we have not allowed Google to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services. Finally, we anonymize IP addresses by masking the last octet of the IP address.
It is our responsibility to protect your data. To this end, we have taken both organizational and technical measures to ensure that your personal data does not fall into the wrong hands or get lost. Our employees are bound by a duty of confidentiality.
We will retain your personal data for as long as you are or wish to become a customer of ours. Sometimes we are required to retain your data for longer, for example because there have been financial transactions for which the law prescribes a longer retention period. In that case, we will replace your data with a pseudonym where possible.
According to the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Of course, we can only delete your data if the agreement allows this (for example, if you are still renting a property from us, we cannot (yet) delete your data) or if the law does not prescribe a longer retention period.

This allows us to verify that the request concerns your personal data. We will process your request within four weeks.
Of course, we are happy to help you if you have any complaints about the processing of your personal data. Under privacy legislation, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority against this processing of personal data. To do so, please contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
